Mrs. Scrivener from the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research (CAESER) at the University of Memphis visited our 8th grade Cyber II and STEM classes on Friday. She presented an overview of the Midsouth’s groundwater supply from the aquifer systems. Students learned about how AI is used to prevent overuse and pollution in our area, and they also got to recreate a ground water model using ice cream and cookies! Our Weekend Warriors have been busy! Mrs. Billingsley and our Science Bowl team traveled to Columbus on Saturday to compete at the Middle School Regional Science Bowl hosted by MSMS. SMS Archery team placed 1st at the Starlanding Tri-Target Shootout. Top shooters were Micah McClure and Mary Malcolm Sims. We are so proud of our students and the teachers who invest in them!
