Our Weekend Warriors have been busy! Mrs. Billingsley and our Science Bowl team traveled to Columbus on Saturday to compete at the Middle School Regional Science Bowl hosted by MSMS. SMS Archery team placed 1st at the Starlanding Tri-Target Shootout. Top shooters were Micah McClure and Mary Malcolm Sims. We are so proud of our students and the teachers who invest in them! Thursday night was so much fun! We got to recognize some fabulous people in our SMS community. Ms. Mims was recognized as our SMSD District Teacher of the Year! We got to love on Jana Waller, our SMS Parent of the Year, and Dawn Underwood, our January District Parent of the Month. And if that wasn't enough celebrating, we recognized our January Student of the Month, Grayson Boucher, and our February Student of the Month, Anniston Howington! We are thrilled to announce our Senatobia Municipal School District Teacher of the Year: Ms. Gieshala Mims. Ms. Mims serves as the Cyber II and Stem teacher at Senatobia Middle School. As a national presenter known for her expertise on the ethical use of artificial intelligence, Ms. Mims uses her skill set to challenge her students to be critical thinkers. Outside of content, Ms. Mims understands that relationships contribute greatly to student success. We are so thankful for all that Ms. Mims does to create a classroom culture where students are challenged but feel valued and loved. Congratulations!

Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, is a reserved inclement weather makeup day on the 2025β2026 school calendar. Senatobia Municipal School District will be open on this day and schools will operate on their regular schedules.

Morning traffic reroute: Due to construction, Ward Street will be closed for the foreseeable future . All traffic, both buses and cars, will need to enter campus from the Center Street entrance and exit by way of Warrior Drive.
